Key takeaways
Filter by exchange and network
The fee ratio, not the fee itself, decides which network to use
Compare four numbers together
Do not optimize the lowest fee in isolation. A usable route requires source support, exact destination network support, the withdrawal minimum, and a post-fee amount above the deposit minimum. A low fee is irrelevant if any condition fails.
Arrival is not just block speed. Exchange review, congestion, required confirmations, and internal destination crediting all affect total time. Use the comparison to shortlist routes, then confirm on the live withdrawal screen.
How fixed fees affect small withdrawals
Many on-chain withdrawals display a fixed per-transaction network fee, making the percentage cost larger for small amounts. A 1 USDT fee is 5% of 20 USDT and 0.5% of 200 USDT. For small transfers, sort by received amount rather than the fee alone.
If the received amount is below the destination minimum, it may not be credited or automatically returned. Do not discover a minimum through repeated withdrawals; read the current destination rule first.
How to read the data status
Fee & minimum checked covers only those two withdrawal fields, with the observation time beside the record. It does not verify addresses, account permissions or timing. Examples are not current quotes; observations older than seven days become stale. Initial timing ranges do not fill the gap when measurements are unavailable.
Exchange withdrawal fees do not always move in lockstep with on-chain gas. Platforms may include congestion, operations, and processing policy, so a block explorer gas quote cannot determine the exact exchange fee.
Compare each recorded field with the confirmation screen
Open the destination USDT deposit page and confirm the full network name, address, Memo/Tag, and minimum. At the source, select the exact network and read the fee and received amount. Compare those values with this tool, and use the official confirmation screen whenever they differ.
Two more numbers decide whether the transfer works
The fixed fee decides how much is deducted; the withdrawal minimum decides whether you can submit at all. Read them together: with a 10 USDT minimum and a 1 USDT fee, withdrawing 10 delivers 9 and costs 10%.
The third number sits at the destination: the deposit minimum. A source that allows a 1 USDT withdrawal does not mean the destination will credit 1 USDT. Compare the post-fee received amount against that threshold, not the requested amount.
FAQ
Does the exchange keep the withdrawal fee?
Platforms call it a network fee or a withdrawal fee. It includes the chain cost but does not equal it: exchanges price it by their own policy, so the same chain can cost several times more at one venue than another.
Why do required confirmations differ so much between networks?
The requirement comes from the chain’s block time and the recipient’s risk tolerance. A faster chain needs more confirmations to reach comparable security, so a higher count does not mean a longer wait. What sets the wait is confirmations multiplied by block interval.
Is the fee deducted from the amount or charged separately?
Most venues deduct it from the requested amount: enter 100 and the destination receives 100 minus the fee. A few flows display it separately. The "amount received" figure on the confirmation screen is what actually arrives.
Why does the fee I see differ from the one shown here?
Three common reasons: the venue adjusted the flat fee for chain congestion, your account tier or a promotion applied a discount, or our record has not been re-checked yet. In all three cases the figure on your signed-in withdrawal page governs.
Sources and verification
Sources prioritize protocol, network, and exchange documentation. External pages can change; signed-in confirmation screens remain authoritative for fees and account status.
